Mitzvos for the IDF is dedicated to supporting the brave men and women of the Israel Defense Forces, both spiritually and physically. Mission
Our mission is to raise funds and awareness to enhance the well-being of IDF soldiers. By providing both physical necessities and spiritual support, we aim to strengthen their resolve, boost morale, and ensure they have the tools they need to defend Israel effectively.
Vision
We envision an Israel where every soldier feels fully supported, body, mind, and spirit. Our goal is to build a lasting community of supporters whose acts of mitzvah (good deeds) uplift and empower the IDF, ensuring the safety, security, and unity of the Jewish people for generations to come.
Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson
Mitzvos for the IDF draws its inspiration from the teachings and guidance of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. The Rebbe consistently emphasized the sacred duty of protecting Jewish life and the vital role of mitzvos in providing both physical and spiritual protection. He spoke often about the special merit that soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces carry, encouraging Jews worldwide to strengthen them through good deeds, tefillin, mezuzot, and Torah study.
Following this vision, our organization channels the Rebbe’s call into action—ensuring that IDF soldiers are supported not only with practical care but also with the enduring power of mitzvos that safeguard and uplift.
Rabbi Dovid Caytak
Rabbi, educator, chazan, and friend of the IDF. Since October 7th, he has worked tirelessly to supply Mezuzahs, Tefillin, Tzitzit, and all items of Judaism for the soldiers of the IDF. He has been on the front lines in Gaza and Lebanon hundreds of times to personally support the soldiers in battle. He collaborates with communities to raise awareness and funds for these precious items that provide spiritual protection to our brave soldiers.
